Arimathea

A city in Judea, hometown of Joseph, a member of the Sanhedrin council who became Jesus' follower. All four Gospels name Joseph of Arimathea as the one who requested Jesus' body from Pilate and buried it in his own unused tomb after the crucifixion, providing the account of the Resurrection's physical foundation.
