Two men named Urijah appear in Scripture. One was a high priest under King Ahaz who built a pagan altar in the temple at the king's command. Another, Uriah of Kiriath Jearim, was a prophet who foretold judgment against Jerusalem and was executed by King Jehoiakim for his message. Both opposed the idolatrous paths of their kings.
