Apollos was a learned Jewish man from Alexandria, eloquent in speech and mighty in the Scriptures. He came to Ephesus and was instructed more fully in the way of the Lord by Aquila and Priscilla. Paul mentions Apollos warmly as a coworker, though some in Corinth factiously claimed allegiance to Apollos over Paul.
